Apple CEO Tim Cook has sparked speculation with a teaser on X. Specifically, he hints at a new apple release: “There’s something in the air.” Notably, this slogan was famously used for the 2008 MacBook Air launch. As a result, it suggests a new M4-powered MacBook Air may be coming.
Why the Buzz?
Tim Cook’s cryptic post has the tech community excited. In particular, many see the recycled slogan as a strong clue. Moreover, the phrase “There’s something in the air” was used for the ultra-thin MacBook Air over a decade ago. Therefore, is this Apple signaling an M4-powered update? Fans and experts think so.
Additionally, he shared a post on X that created a buzz over the internet. Similarly, the same strategy of advertising before the release was used last month for the release of the iPhone 16e.

Regarding the M4 MacBook
For instance, it is expected to come with a bigger display of 13 to 15 inches and be equipped with the M4 chip, which is the same that powers the 2024 MacBook Pro and iMac.
However, fan reviews are a bit mixed, as the planned upgrade on Siri might get delayed because of this launch. Nevertheless, last November, Apple updated the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac with the M4 chipset, so the MacBook Air is long overdue for its turn.
Earlier This Year
Initially, Apple kicked off with the launch of the iPhone 16e, a $600 smartphone targeting budget-minded users. Interestingly, the design mirrors that of the iPhone 14, featuring a notch, but it incorporates the A18 chipset, which supports Apple Intelligence. Consequently, it seems like the next product on the docket from Apple is the M4 MacBook Air. Therefore, keep an eye on Pocket-lint for all the updates on this impending Apple product launch.
